Seeking Grant Writers to Subcontract

GOGO Grant writers is a new consultancy in Seattle, WA. While the firm is new, I am an experienced freelancer. I am interested in putting together a rock star team of grant writing pros who embrace the freelancing life. I am seeking individuals who love their work and have a sense of humor when deadlines are tight and clients are testy.

Major Responsibilities
Responsible for conducting the full range of activities required to prepare, submit, and manage grant proposals to foundation and corporate sources. Perform prospect research on foundations and corporations to evaluate prospects for corporate and foundation grants. Work with client’s finance contact to gather information necessary to develop a budget aligned to the program and its’ goals.

• - Write and submit strong drafts for client approval.
• - Manage attachments and related documents needed to submit a complete grant application.
• - 
Attend meetings (via SKYPE) or in person as required by the grant project.
• - Manage time and organize all details of the project using the GOGO project management interface Podio.

Answer clients questions as they arise.
• -Keep the supervising grant writer informed of the status of all grant projects you are assigned.
• -Meet all deadlines unless otherwise changed with prior client and principal grant writer approval.
• -Maintain client confidentiality.
• -Be professional at all times.
• -Also, contract grant writers are required to submit a client survey at the end of each grant project.

Focus Areas
We specialize in writing grants for youth, education, arts, community-based organizations, media, leadership development and workforce development. We are open to broadening our topics as we add grant writers who bring this skill to our group.

How will you be paid?
Payment of services occurs once the grant has been satisfactorily delivered on time to the client. Payment typically takes up to two weeks to process. I can pay via PayPal, Squared-up or bank check.

Status of Work Projects
We are new and currently there are no active projects. This will change once I am confident I have a small group of competent grant writers to help once we get going. While we cannot guarantee you will work all the time, my experience is that when I have wanted to secure work, I have in spades. At no time should you forgo work in the anticipation of working with us. Always take the sure thing. This comes from a serial freelancer.
